At Williams Batters, South Yarra has been our home for over 125 years.
In 1878, Williams & Co. was established in the building next to South Yarra railway station. It's the same location today. When the prominent South Yarra firm opened for business, the Kelly Gang was active in Central Victoria and Gilbert and Sullivan were writing HMS Pinafore. The Batters family has lived in South Yarra since 1860. Then, Burke and Wills were setting off and the neighbourhood was considered rural.
With the coming together of the two firms in 2004, a meeting of ideals was achieved. The highest professional standards, first-rate auctioneering, unquestionable honesty plus state-of-the-art marketing delivered by friendly, approachable and capable staff.
So a new force in local real estate was created. The directors' combined experience covers over a century.
