McKewans Real Estate was established in 1969 by Bill McKewan and his father Bully in Moorablool Street, Geelong. The company later expanded, and its current incarnation began in 1994 in its present location in The Terrace, Ocean Grove. 2002 saw the opening of an office in Barwon Heads which has allowed for complete coverage of the Ocean Grove-Barwon Heads area.

With 15 staff across the two offices including Licensed Estate Agents, Sales Consultants, Property Management team, an IT and Accounts Manager and a fully qualified Property Valuer, Hayden Real Estate is now able to draw on a mix of McKewans vast experience in Sales, Leasing and Valuation, their modern and progression attitude and a great wealth of resources in the Bellarine Peninsula.
